Impact of HD or TD
on Quality of Life

Teva recently undertook a research survey to ask the general public in the US about the impact of tardive dyskinesia (TD) or the chorea associated with Huntington’s disease (HD) on quality of life.

The responses from the survey were used to calculate utility values, which are used to help assess the burden of disease. To date, no studies have reported utility values specifically for HD chorea and there are limited data on the quality of life and social consequences of TD.

This research collaboration was interested in understanding how people would choose between a shorter life spent in full health or living longer but with HD or TD.

The aim was to highlight what it would be like to live with the symptoms.
